Transfer rumours: June
While the rumour mill never stops turning, it speeds up during each transfer window and this summer it's gone into overdrive because of a certain football tournament in South Africa.
The globe's best players have been displaying their wares at the 2010 World Cup, and it seems that any player who puts in an eye-catching performance is linked with a move to United.
The Joe Cole saga continues, while the Reds have also been tipped to sign (among others) Chile winger Alexis Sanchez, Italy's Giorgio Chiellini and Denmark defender Simon Kjaer.
