Not satisfied with taking on all before them on the pitch, the Reds have now become a hit off it, thanks to a TV ad campaign.
In a bid to create more awareness about their business class offerings, Turkish Airlines called in the help of the Manchester United first team squad to launch their state of the art TV ad back in October. Since then the ad has become a ‘YouTube’ sensation after attracting more than 400,000 hits, whilst becoming hugely popular with fans across the globe and picking up a prestigious Hugo Television Award in the 'Business Products / Services' category.
Seventeen current first team players along with United legend Sir Bobby Charlton were involved in the making of the commercial which depicts the luxury and comfort enjoyed by Turkish Airlines passengers.
Directed by Marco Grandia, the commercial was filmed in the ‘Manchester Studio’ at Media City’s Pie Factory. The production crew spent a total of three weeks preparing for the shoot which took two days to film.
