Papers: Fight for a place

NEV-er say never again
Gary Neville will be handed the chance to prove his Manchester United career is NOT over against Aalborg tonight. The United legend, 33, has been sidelined for 18 months with serious ankle ligament damage. But he is set to return this evening when Sir Alex Ferguson’s men look to dispose of their Danish opponents and finish top of Champions League Group E. He knows he might be walking into the last chance saloon and he said: “To be honest, I’ve not been able to stay fit enough, long enough, or produce consistently good enough performances to stay in the team, simple as that."
Jeremy Cross, Daily Star

The Independent says that United may appeal the four-match suspension handed to Patrice Evra after last season's Stamford Bridge fracas.

The Sun claims Ledley King has 'lit the blue touchpaper ahead of Saturday’s clash against United by saying: Who needs Dimitar Berbatov?'. Actual quotes: "A lot of players have come and gone over the last few years. I'm used to playing them when they return - that's not been an issue before and it won’t be at the weekend. Dimitar was brilliant for us, I’m sure he will get a good reception from the fans."
