Manchester United are ready to outbid Tottenham for Espanyol goalkeeper Carlos Kameni. The £4.5m-rated Cameroon keeper had been expected to join Spurs at the end of the season but, as Sportsmail revealed last month, United's chief European scout Martin Ferguson has made a couple of checks on the 24-year-old and is interested. Spurs believed they had a deal agreed in principle but United's move has turned Kameni's head.The Screamer column, Daily Mail
also reports that Sir Alex cancelled a planned day off for the United first-team squad following the FA Cup quarter final defeat to Portsmouth.
