Hargreaves will win new deal on return
Owen Hargreaves will require at least "two to three months" of training before being able to make the first-team return that would secure a one-year extension to his Manchester United contract.
The 28 year-old has not figured for United since last September due to a tendinitis problem which resulted in surgery on both knees in December. Hargreaves signed a three-year deal at Old Trafford when he arrived from Bayern Munich in 2007, with an option of a fourth season.
It is believed United are already committed to extending his deal, leaving the player in control of his future should he make a return to full fitness.

The Sun isn't alone in reporting Nemanja Vidic is eyeing a move to Barcelona. Quotes attributed to the Serbian's advisor read: "It would be a dream for Vidic to play for Barcelona, as he wants to play in La Liga." However, Sky Sports are now reporting Vidic's agent has denied these quotes."This is not true," he said. "I never said these things. Nemanja is happy in Manchester."
