Papers: Rooney's race

Fergie: Now you’re four it
Sir Alex Ferguson has warned Rafa Benitez he will have his big guns back to face Liverpool. Wayne Rooney, Patrice Evra, Ryan Giggs and Darren Fletcher missed Manchester United's trip to Moscow. But if under-pressure Kop boss Benitez is hoping they will be absentees for this weekend's Anfield clash, he has another thing coming. United chief Fergie said: "We are hoping we get the main players fit because it's a big game. Evra will be fit for Sunday. He's just had a little problem with his heel. I'm hoping Rooney, Giggs and Fletcher will be fit."

The Daily Express
reckons it's not cut and dry for Rooney, who, as ManUtd.com reported on Tuesday, "faces an uphill fight" to make Sunday's game, according to Sir Alex Ferguson.

Diego Forlan says ahead of his Atletico Madrid team's visit to Stamford Bridge tonight that Chelsea are a "stronger, more experienced" team than United now.

The Guardian says United could "read Liverpool their last rites" in the title race with victory at Anfield on Sunday.

The Daily Mail says Rafael Benitez is reeling from Liverpool's worst run of results in 22 years and would incur further anger from supporters if that run is extended at the weekend.
