Fergie's heroes are crocked
United paid a heavy price after taking a giant step towards the Champions League knockout stages. Darren Fletcher and Nani are out of Saturday's clash with Wolves after being crocked and could even miss the Manchester derby next week. Fletcher, who hit the opener in Turkey, hurt an ankle while Nani has a groin injury. Boss Alex Ferguson, whose side need just a point to qualify, said: "We've a couple of injuries. Nani has hurt his groin and will definitely be out for Saturday. Darren will also be out." That was the downside on an otherwise excellent night for United as Gabriel Obertan and Bebe also got on the scoresheet.
There's positive reaction aplenty to the Reds' impressive 3-0 victory over Bursaspor and the roles played by Obertan and Bebe with headlines including "Bebe has Fergie Ober the moon" (Daily Mirror) and "Turkey shoot" (Daily Mail).
Elsewhere, there's speculation in a couple of papers that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may return to his native Norway to gain some managerial experience. The Independent claims "United's strong links with Molde – which saw the signing of Mame Biram Diouf last year – could strengthen Solskjaer's notion of a move home being part of a preparation to manage at Old Trafford one day."
