Papers: Lindegaard flies in

David McDonnell writes in the Daily Mirror...

Lindegaard to join United today
Manchester United are set to complete the signing of Anders Lindegaard today after the Danish goalkeeper flew to England to finalise the deal. Lindegaard travelled to Carrington to undergo a medical and will sign four-year deal having agreed a £4.2million switch from Norwegian club Aalesunds. The 26-year-old, who is seen as the long-term successor to Edwin van der Sar, will officially join United in January when the transfer window re-opens.

Jonny Evans admits his performances have been below-par this season but has vowed to return to top form. The Northern Ireland defender is quoted in The Sun: “I don't know why I wasn't performing well earlier in the season. I wasn't at my best for about six months. I was making decisions and thinking, 'I would never have done that in the past'. I just got on with it and hoped everything would come back.”

Today's papers also feature Wayne Rooney’s apology to United supporters and dismissal of the Manchester City rumours, as published on ManUtd.com last night.
