Vidic staying at United, says agent
Nemanja Vidic's agent has dismissed talk of the Manchester United captain leaving Old Trafford. The 29-year-old Serbia defender has been linked with a move away from England – Juventus are the latest club reported to be interested – despite having three years left on his United contract. However, his agent Silvano Martina has rejected any talk of a summer departure. Speaking to Radio Sportiva in Italy, he said: "He's a player that everyone wants. I talked to him about a hypothetical transfer and he replied, 'I am the captain of Manchester United, earning well, I've won almost everything ... Why should I go to Italy right now, when Italian football is going through a turbulent period?' This response removes any doubt about where his future lies – he stays where he is."
Elsewhere, The Independent claim Wesley Sneijder may be leaving Inter Milan after all. The Dutchman said last week that he was happy at the club, but fresh speculation surrounding his future has arisen over the weekend.
Meanwhile, The Mirror report United and Blackburn are ready to "agree a compromise £20million fee to end their bitter dispute over Phil Jones". The paper claim Rovers refused to sanction the defender's sale for £16m, despite Jones agreeing personal terms and passing a medical at United.
