Papers: Hands off Hanley

The Sun reports...

Kean warns Fergie off Hanley

Blackburn boss Steve Kean has told Alex Ferguson: Hands off Grant Hanley. Fergie took note as centre-back Hanley, 20, impressed during Manchester United’s 2-0 win at Ewood Park on Monday. United manager Fergie praised the young Scot after the match. Kean said: "He was very complimentary about Grant. He thinks he’s good enough to play for Scotland for the next 10 to 15 years, and I agree. I hope Fergie’s not going to be putting a bid in. I said that to him. I told him leave it a bit longer because Grant is only just starting with us."

A number of the papers run quotes from our interview with Rio Ferdinand yesterday, while others report that Antonio Valencia wants to delay at ankle operation in an effort to boost Ecuador’s World Cup qualification hopes. Sir Alex, however, refuted this claim at a press conference earlier.

Many of the papers report quotes from Roberto Mancini's media briefing yesterday in which he said he believes the title race is over if United beat QPR and City lose at Arsenal.
