Papers: Berba to Bayern?

German giants preparing move
Dimitar Berbatov could be swapping Manchester for Munich, with German giants Bayern reportedly interested in signing the striker. Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson recently said he wanted Berbatov to stay at Old Trafford for another year, and would activate a clause in the Bulgarian's contract to ensure this happens. But that won't necessarily put off Bayern from making a move for the 30-year-old. The German giants are resigned to losing Ivica Olic in January or in the summer, and are already looking around for replacements. Berbatov has been with United since 2008, and was top scorer in the Premier League last season, helping the Reds to a record 19th league title. His chances have been limited this term, making just four Premier League starts. He does still regularly find the net when called upon though, and scored six league goals last month.

Elsewhere, The Telegraph claim United turned down a £500,000 bid from Newcastle last weekend for talented teenager Ravel Morrison.

The Mirror report Darron Gibson is likely to join Everton for £2.5million after being told by Sir Alex Ferguson that he is free to leave.

The same paper claims Manchester City are ready to offer Paul Pobga a lucrative deal after the Frenchman reportedly failed to agree new terms with United.
