Papers: Hazard warning

Martin Lipton writes in the Daily Mirror...

Lille: Offer us £35m for Hazard or forget it
French champions Lille have told Chelsea and Manchester United they will not sell Belgian star Eden Hazard this window for less than £35million. Both the Blues and United are sniffing round the playmaker ahead of a possible January deal for the 21-year-old. But with Lille desperate to secure Champions League football ahead of next season’s move to a new 50,000-capacity stadium, the English raiders have been told they have to meet their minimum demand for them to even consider selling this month. Hazard, who's also being tracked by Real Madrid, is understood to have reconciled himself to seeing out the season in France. However, he would not be averse to a move if Lille do agree terms with either Chelsea or United.

The Sun use Rio Ferdinand's ManUtd.com quotes on Paul Scholes, who the paper claim could play for Great Britain in the Olympics.

In other news, Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott is quoted in the Daily Star on the title race and says "it’s more important to pull away from United" than Tottenham.

Meanwhile, a number of the papers say Sir Alex has tipped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be the Reds' next boss, but in reality the quotes from the manager are simply him talking about Ole being a good coach.
