Powell to complete United move

Manchester United will sign Crewe teenager Nick Powell in a £6million deal today. The midfielder, 18, was also being watched by Chelsea and Arsenal.

The Daily Telegraph has the same story on Powell and also claims he will undergo a medical at Old Trafford tomorrow.

In other news, the Daily Mail say United chief executive David Gill was proactive in the edict that none of England’s Euro 2012 squad would be picked for the Olympics although an exception has been agreed for Birmingham goalkeeper Jack Butland who is third choice for England.
