Papers: Pile on the pain

Jeremy Cross writes in the Daily Star...

Pile on the pain
Michael Carrick has ordered Manchester United to pile on the pain for rock-bottom QPR at Old Trafford tomorrow. Rangers are still without a league win and are cast adrift at the foot of the table, with Mark Hughes clinging to his job. Boss Hughes faces a battle to avoid the sack and knows a thrashing at United could spell the end for him at Loftus Road. United have suffered successive defeats at Norwich and Galatasaray but Carrick said: “It is massively important for us to bounce back. We are normally very good at that and after losing back-to-back games, we will look to do that on Saturday.”
