Fergie Zoums in: United charm St Etienne defender
Sir Alex Ferguson will invite transfer target Kurt Zouma to Old Trafford in a bid to seal a £9million deal. Manchester United are chasing the 18-year-old Saint-Etienne centre-half, and Fergie is turning on the charm by getting him over from France to watch a game and visit the club’s facilities. The Reds' noisy neighbours Manchester City are also tracking Zouma, who is regarded as one of Europe’s hottest teenage prospects. United, who have been plagued by injuries at the back and currently face losing Rio Ferdinand on a free in the summer, are also eyeing Torino and Italy centre-half Angelo Ogbonna.
The Mirror and the Daily Star both say United are interested in Southampton starlet Luke Shaw - as are Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal. But the 17-year-old left-back is staying at St Mary's for now.
