England Reds rained off

Manchester United’s contingent of England internationals were left frustrated on Tuesday after the Three Lions’ clash with Poland was postponed for flooding.

Following several hours of heavy rain, the FIFA World Cup qualifying match at the National Stadium in Warsaw was called off as the pitch was deemed unplayable.

Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley and Wayne Rooney were all set to start for Roy Hodgson’s team while Danny Welbeck was named on the bench.

The fixture has been rearranged for Wednesday afternoon, with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 BST.
