The Sun's Martin Blackburn writes...
Derby is all about Manc pride
Vincent Kompany has sent out a chilling warning to Alex Ferguson and Co — Monday’s derby is not about the title, it’s about who will be champions of Manchester. The destination of the Premier League is all but decided, with United opening up a 15-point lead over City in recent weeks. It means Roberto Mancini’s side are resigned to giving back the trophy that Kompany lifted last year long before the end of the season on May 19. Yet the Belgium international centre-back, 26, insists City will not lack for motivation when they make the short trip across town to Old Trafford. No, it may not measure up in terms of importance to last April’s derby at the Etihad when Kompany headed what proved to be a priceless winner shortly before the interval. But City, who famously romped to a 6-1 win in this fixture last season, will still be up for it. Kompany said: “A derby is a derby. I don’t think we could care less about the league in that game — it is about who is going to be champions of Manchester. That is all it is."
The Sun continue to fuel speculation about Paris Saint-Germain's apparent interest in Wayne Rooney, with quotes from Zlatan Ibrahimovic urging United's no.10 to move to the French capital.
