Ando ready to take his chance

Anderson says Manchester United won’t take the challenge of facing Reading in the FA Cup lightly and he is ready to give his all if selected to play tonight, although he admits competition for places is fierce for every game.

United are chasing trophies on three fronts as the season reaches a critical stage, which Anderson says has created a healthy rivalry for game-time among the Reds’ first-team squad. He expects a tough test as Sir Alex’s men seek to secure a sixth-round tie against either Chelsea or Middlesbrough.

“People say ‘Oh, United have an easy game,’ but there are no easy matches. Everyone has to do their job and play well if we are to get through,” he tells tonight's edition of United Review

“Every team that comes to Old Trafford plays like it’s their last game – that’s how important a match at Old Trafford against United is to other teams. That makes it hard for us, but we know we have the quality to beat any team.”
