Papers: Zaha to sign today

John Drayton writes in the Daily Mail...

Zaha deal to be done today
Manchester United expect to wrap up the signing of Wilfried Zaha this morning, although they may defer the finer details of the transfer until the summer. Sportsmail has learned that the latest signing talks taking place today are ‘at an advanced stage’. However, it is believed the medical will not take place until the summer, partly because senior United medical staff are out of the country. It is also connected to the fact that Zaha will remain a Crystal Palace player for the rest of the season and will require further checks relating to his fitness at the end of the season. The deal will cost United around £12million for the 20-year-old forward, who made his England debut in Sweden in November.

Meanwhile, the Mirror claims United’s deal to sign Zaha and instantly loan him back to Crystal Palace is facing a Football League probe. The Football League want to see the paperwork on the transfer and check their rule-book as there has been a tightening up on these kind of moves. Sir Alex is waiting on a ruling, but Old Trafford insiders has told the Mirror that he is quite happy to keep Zaha with United if there is a hurdle.

In other news, The Sun say United and Arsenal are making checks on QPR’s Brazilian keeper Julio Cesar. The Sun also declares in the story that "David De Gea will be replaced at United."
