Papers: RvP endorses Moyes

wants to be successful. He has been working very hard and he has spoken to every single player individually. It’s his first couple of weeks, so let’s get to know each other. But it looks very good. He is very nice and he works very well. It’s only based on a few sessions, but I loved them.”

The Sun features Moyes’ claim that he is ready to face the mind games of Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, citing his Scottish upbringing as the ideal preparation for such battles: “If you’re from Glasgow, you quite enjoy those kind of things - so bring it on.”

Elsewhere, the Daily Mail’s Martin Samuel claims the boss must make a marquee signing in order to stamp his authority as United manager. Writing in his column, the journalist says: “Moyes needs big players to look like a big player. Fabregas and Leighton Baines are fine, but it is the acquisition of Bale or Ronaldo that would send a statement of intent to rivals.”
