David Moyes takes charge of his first game on Saturday when Manchester United take on a Singha All Star XI in a pre-season friendly in Bangkok.
It’s a chance for all 19 players in the tour squad to impress the new manager and stake a fresh claim for places in the team this coming season.
Ex-Red and current club ambassador Andy Cole told ManUtd.com: "Everyone starts with a clean slate now, including those guys who were disappointed at not playing too many games last season.
"A new manager has come in with new ideas, so everyone is looking to impress and be in the team at the start of the season.
"Sir Alex is no longer here so things are going to change, and what the fans are expecting will also change. We’re all looking forward to it."
Moyes could hand a non-competitive debut on Saturday to Wilfried Zaha, the 20-year-old summer signing from Crystal Palace.
"I’ve spoken to him briefly on tour, having seen him numerous times for Palace last season, and he looks a good young player," added Cole, who is with the team on tour in Thailand.
"This is his first outing with United and I don’t think he knew what to expect – he does now!
"He knows he’s got a big future at this club, otherwise the previous manager wouldn’t have signed him."
