Progress pleases Tony

Head of Fitness and Conditioning Tony Strudwick says the players are putting in plenty of hard work on the training pitch and in the gym during Tour 2013 presented by Aon.

After a three-day stay in Bangkok, the Reds arrived in Sydney on Sunday for a solid week of training.

Strudwick is pleased with how things are going so far at a time he believes is "the most important part of the year."

"We always have a heavy presence of fitness staff during pre-season because it's the time when the players have to work hard in order to hit the ground the running, particularly given the start we have this season," he told MUTV.

"This time is always the most important part of the year and we want to get up to speed as soon as possible."
