Zeki Fryers is a tall and athletic left-sided full-back, who can also play in the centre of defence.
It was in the middle where he made his first-team debut against Leeds, in the white-hot atmosphere of Elland Road in September 2011, but the Manchester-born defender prefers to play on the flank and bomb forward to help out in attack.
He has pace in abundance and is tough in the tackle. His two seasons as an Academy scholar were disrupted by injury, but he finished 2010/11 strongly and helped United to the FA Youth Cup.
Zeki, who has been at the club since the age of nine and
has been capped at England youth level, has a handful of first-team appearances under his belt but is expected to feature more prominently for United's Reserves during 2011/2012.
Fryers described his home debut against Otelul Galati, in the Champions League, as "the most exciting moment of my life".
