PFA Team of the Year.
The left-back berth became his own and, aided by consistency, only eight games were missed during the triumphant 2007/08 season when the Champions League, as well as another title, were added to his burgeoning personal collection. A four-year contract entension followed in June prior to securing a hat-trick of championship crowns during the 2008/09 term, also helping the Reds break the top-flight clean sheet record in the process.
Wayne Rooney was the star throughout the 2009/10 season, but Evra's achievement of starting 37 of 38 league fixtures didn't go unnoticed: he earned yet another place in the Team of the Year after captaining the Reds to Carling Cup glory in February.
He was a near-ever-present in 2010/11, too, playing in 35 games in United's triumphant league campaign and scoring once. Midway through the season, the left-back signed yet another contract extension to keep him at Old Trafford for at least another three years. United lost the title to Manchester City on the final day of the following 2011/12 season, a disappointment that hit Evra doubly hard due to his role as stand-in captain in the absence of Vidic.
