The French full-back opened his goalscoring account for 2013/14 when he headed in United’s second during a 2-2 draw away to Cardiff City. His fine displays led to praise from former Reds defender Denis Irwin, who told ManUtd.com: “He’s a good lad to have in the dressing room, a good leader and a bubbly character. He’s been great for us this year.”

December 2013
Starting in all but one of the Reds’ December fixtures, Patrice used all his experience to guide the champions through some difficult spells. And his goal against Stoke capped a 2-0 win in what was the second of six-game winning streak. 

January 2014
Evra was again an ever-present in all of the Reds' league fixtures during January, but was given some respite as Büttner came in for him in both Capital One Cup ties against Sunderland. Despite being forced off through injury against Chelsea, Patrice was back to skipper the Reds to only a second league win of the month, as United beat Cardiff 2-0 in the final game of January.
