November 2013
Van Persie began the month with a thumping finish to help United win 3-1 at Fulham and scored an important winner against his former side, Arsenal, as the Reds secured an impressive victory at Old Trafford. However, he did not appear again in November due to injury.

December 2013
With the thigh injury sustained against Arsenal still plaguing him, the Dutchman made only two appearances during the festive period – at home to Newcastle United and Shakhtar Donetsk. David Moyes confirmed during the month that van Persie had been sent back to his native Holland for treatment. "We're trying to get Robin back. He's got a thigh strain that we have to manage carefully," said the boss. "He's been to Holland to see a guy he works with there. So we're doing everything we can to give him the right treatment and get him back as soon as we possibly can."

January 2014
After over a month on the sidelines, van Persie returned from injury against Cardiff and immediately set about making up for lost time. The game was only six minutes old when he scored the opening goal, showing typical predatory instincts to follow up after Antonio Valencia’s effort came back of the bar by heading in at the second attempt.
