season saw a dip in the club’s league form but memorably provided an FA Cup winners’ medal for Wall. He was also part of the team that won the league for the second time in 1911 and continued at United for four more years before the First World War brought an end to his United career.
It wasn’t to herald the end of his football career though. After the War, Wall signed for Oldham and went on to play for four more clubs before bringing his career to a close back in Manchester in 1927, playing for Manchester Ship Canal FC.
