Ravel Morrison is a supremely gifted talent: a skilful, creative midfielder capable of scoring and making goals.

He can play in wide positions, in the centre of the park, or just behind the main striker. The Wythenshawe youngster uses his skill and unique style of play to draw opponents in before easing past them.

Ravel shot to prominence as a schoolboy in 2008/09 and scored in United's FA Youth Cup defeat to Chelsea in November 2008 while still only 15.

Having signed initially as an Academy first-year scholar in July 2009 before penning professional forms on his

17th birthday, he has developed into a player of prodigious talent and was never fazed by the inevitable step up into the Reserves.

Sir Alex Ferguson, a great believer in the player, promoted Morrison to the number 49 shirt in October, 2010, and brought him on in the closing stages of the Carling Cup win against Wolves for his senior debut.

That brief taste of a packed Old Trafford stood him in good stead for the FA Youth Cup run as he was the main man for Paul McGuinness' trophy-winners. A wonderfully-executed winner against Newcastle was followed by a two-goal show at Anfield and the sight of the
