Ole: My Reserves squad

Reserves boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer runs the rule over the players he expects to be working with over the coming months…

Goalkeepers
Ben Amos and Ron-Robert Zieler are both very talented keepers. Ron-Robert won the European U19s tournament with Germany, so he's someone we're looking to push this season - he's going to make a big improvement. Ben has been in the youth team, played some games for the Reserves and also played for the first team and been on tour with them. He's a dedicated, determined goalkeeper who we think is going to be a goodun'. He's a good keeper, works hard and he knows what he needs to work on. The good thing as well is that they're both good characters. Behind them are Gary Woods and Conor Devlin beyond them from the youth team. We've used both of them already and they’re very competent, but I’d expect us to be working with Ben and Ron-Robert primarily.”

Defenders
“We've got Fabio and Rafael da Silva coming in, the twins, and they'll be very interesting to watch this year. I think the crowd will enjoy watching the two of them because they're winners. They hadn’t played for a year before this pre-season so obviously they're desperate to play, and when they do, they’ll excite the crowd. They're typical Brazilian full-backs, Roberto Carlos and Cafu on the left and right! Then we’ve got James Chester and Jimmy Derbyshire, who have done well for us in pre-season. With lads like David Gray and Richard Eckersley we might be looking at loan deals, because they're very good defenders who have been in the Reserves for a while and need some first team football. Defence is an area that could change during the season as we don’t have that many out and out defenders.”

Midfielders
“We have loads of midfielders - a wealth of midfielders. Rodrigo Possebon is a very good talent with great potential – it says a lot that the manager used him in the first team’s pre-season. We've got Sam Hewson,
