United's Reserves will head to Dublin in mid-August to compete in the Platinum One Challenge.
The tournament, which kicks off on Sunday 15 August, will feature Ireland's premier football club, Shamrock Rovers FC, as well as Reserves squads from Arsenal and Manchester United.
All games will be played at Tallaght Stadium, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men meeting Shamrock Rovers on 15 August (19:00 BST) and then Arsenal Reserves on 19 August (19:45 BST). The final game, to be played on 22 August (15:00 BST) will feature Shamrock Rovers and Arsenal Reserves.
Reserves boss Solskjaer said the mini tournament will lend a vital competitive element to the early stage of the season. "Our current first-team contains many players who have come through the ranks and some of the talent on show in Dublin will hopefully be in Sir Alex’s mind in the near future. For these players to get additional competitive action early in the season is welcome."
Head of football at Platinum One Eamon McLoughlin said: "We have been working on this concept for a long time and we are delighted it has been confirmed. This is a unique opportunity for people to see some of the household names of the future play competitively in Dublin. We are deliberately pricing the event to make it as accessible as possible for football fans and families to see top-quality players in a competitive environment."
