Reserves face Scunthorpe

Manchester United's Reserves will continue the preparation for the new campaign with a friendly against Scunthorpe United on Friday.

The fixture will take place at Glanford Park with a 7.30pm kick-off and allow Warren Joyce to give his players another run-out ahead of Sunday's United XI encounter at Forest Green and the Lancashire Senior Cup final against Accrington Stanley on 8 August.

The League One club, managed by Alan Knill, had two Reds on loan last term - keeper Sam Johnstone and midfielder Oliver Norwood, who has since joined Huddersfield Town.

Tickets are available in advance through Scunthorpe but fans can also pay on the gate on the evening itself with the entrance price starting at just £2 for Under-16s.
