Manchester United's Under-21s have their final fixture of the year on Friday with a trip south to face Arsenal at Boreham Wood.
Warren Joyce's side will aim to end a successful 2013, that yielded three trophies, on a high after returning to winning ways with a 2-0 triumph at Blackburn Rovers in the last outing.
James Wilson scored the second goal in that fixture and is expected to retain his place in the squad, even though Paul McGuinness' Under-18 team are also in action on Friday, against Blackburn. The teenager bagged a memorable solo effort in the FA Youth Cup win at Burnley on Monday and is in excellent form.
Darren Fletcher has featured of late but has since made a couple of substitute appearances at first-team level as his rehabilitation is going to plan while Fabio and Wilfried Zaha have also been available to Joyce but could be saved for David Moyes' plans over the busy festive spell.
The Gunners' previous game at Boreham Wood, against Leicester, was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
