U21s' clash postponed

United's Barclays Under-21 Premier League clash with Wolves has been postponed.

After the scheduled Elite Group opener against West Ham was called off last week, the Reds were hoping to kickstart the second half of the campaign in Telford.

AFC Telford United asked for volunteers to remove the frost covers in order to allow the groundsman to work on the surface but the freezing weather has put paid to the hopes of getting the match played.

Warren Joyce has already admitted that it was a blow not to play the West Ham game as the coach is kept waiting for some competitive action for his charges, despite playing behind-closed-doors fixtures after Christmas.

A home encounter against West Brom at Moss Lane on Friday night will be screened live by MUTV if the game survives the cold snap.
