United have retained the Manchester Senior Cup after fixture congestion ensured that the final could not be played this season.
Warren Joyce's side defeated Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last year and will keep hold of the trophy after winning the group. Bolton Wanderers sit second, three points behind the Reds but another three clear of City.
The Competitions Committee at the Manchester FA have confirmed that medals will be awarded to the United staff because of the league table as it stands and promised that a review will take place to ensure changes in the tournament for next season. The new format and structure will be unveiled in July following discussions with the participating clubs.
It means Joyce's team end the campaign with the Barclays Under-21 Premier League final against Tottenham at Old Trafford on Monday and the chance for more silverware. It is the final match for the club at the Theatre of Dreams this term but the Red Heart United Legends clash with Real Madrid takes place on 2 June.
