Manchester United's Under-21s return to league action on Monday night with a trip to Goodison Park to face Everton.
The Reds have been without a Barclays Under-21 Premier League fixture since 16 September and have had only three matches in the division all season. Hence, the Merseyside assignment is a welcome one for Warren Joyce's defending champions and an opportunity to start climbing the table.
Will Keane is likely to be out to continue his bid to regain full fitness after returning from a long-term injury lay-off with a bang. The England Under-21 international has scored four goals in three games since being welcomed back into the fold after a frustrating spell on the sidelines with knee ligament damage.
"Will has got to keep working now and look to build his fitness levels to get him back to his previous level as quickly as possible," Joyce explained to Inside United. "That is the bigger picture with him.
"I don't think there was a better player at his age in the country at the time he got injured, so we're mindful that the most important thing is getting him back to that level.
"Then he's got to kick on again to see how close he can get to the first team."
The game is exclusively live on MUTV with kick-off at 7pm with a full report appearing after the final whistle on ManUtd.com.
