Reds face Rovers in Youth Cup

United’s Under-18s meet Blackburn Rovers tonight in the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup.

The match, which will be played at Ewood Park, kicks off at 19:00 GMT and will be shown live on MUTV. The winners will earn the right to play either Preston North End or Everton in the sixth round.

Paul McGuinness’s young Reds have already beaten Birmingham (2-0) and Burnley (5-1) in this season’s Youth Cup but tonight face a Blackburn side currently top of the Premier Academy Group C. United, just two points adrift of Rovers, earned a 0-0 draw in September when the teams met in the league.

Joshua King (pictured above) and William Keane both hit braces during the Reds' last Youth Cup outing, as United blitzed Burnley earlier this month at a chilly Turf Moor. Both will be hoping for similar hauls this evening if handed the chance to shine at Ewood Park. will publish a full match report moments after the final whistle.
