United's Under-18s clinched the Premier Academy League Group C title on Saturday with victory against Bolton Wanderers, meaning the Reds cannot be caught by second-placed Everton.
Paul McGuinness' side played excellent attacking football at times during the campaign, while and a strong end-of-season finish helped clinch top spot above the Toffees with a game to spare. Ironically that game is against Everton on Tuesday afternoon, but the match, which could have been a title decider, is now a dead rubber.
The young Reds side will now face Arsenal, winners of Group A, in the Premier Academy League Play-Off semi-finals.
