Manchester United’s youngsters played a couple of friendlies in Slovakia last week.
Although the matches were billed as Under-17 level, a number of much younger Reds were included, and a 3-0 victory against MFK Ruzomberok featured some vibrant attacking play.
Jordan Thompson volleyed home the opener with Zachary Dearnley coming off the bench to supply two neatly-taken finishes in order to wrap up a convincing win.
Sparta Prague emerged victorious by the same scoreline in the second fixture, even though United carved out plenty of chances themselves. Filip Hasek hit the first goal before a header by Matej Pulkrab doubled the lead. Pulkrab ran through on goal to add a third on 54 minutes but there was much for the youngsters to take out of the trip.
