McGuinness also revealed skipper Wilson was still feeling unwell despite enhancing his own reputation by providing a couple of the brightest moments of the game.
"Wilson wasn't feeling well all game and before the game," he stated. "That's another thing that went against us.
"We had a chance [to level for a second time] with Wilson going through and he could have done with more support and somebody breaking their neck to get up alongside him but it didn't appear. We didn't test their goalkeeper enough and nobody was busting a gut to get in front of the defenders. They are through and we are out because of that."
