Manchester United's youngsters put in an impressive shift during the opening day of the Mercedes-Benz Junior Cup on Sunday.
The Under-19 squad excelled in the six-a-side tournament to set up a meeting with Grasshopper Zurich on Monday at midday.
After a 2-0 win against Brazilian side Fluminense in the Group B opener, Nicky Butt's teenagers were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Schalke. In the crucial final group clash with Borussia Dortmund, with the two teams level on the same points, the Germans took a 2-0 lead. However, in true Manchester United fashion, a barnstorming comeback yielded late goals for James Wilson, Paddy McNair and, dramatically, Ben Pearson to clinch a crucial 3-2 triumph.
Group A outfit Freiburg were up next but were put to the sword 3-0 by the rampant Reds to round off a fabulous day for the youngsters.
