Joe Riley's equaliser earned Manchester United a 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the Barclays Under-18 Premier League.
The Reds were deservedly behind at the break to an early Jordan Houghton strike from outside the box as Paul McGuinness' side struggled to produce any shots on target.
However, after the Blues hit the woodwork through Ola Aina and had a George Brady effort cleared off the line by Ben Barber, midfielder Riley levelled with a first-time shot from the edge of the box after Jake Clarke-Salter cleared a Barber's ball into the box .
The home side improved considerably in the second period and came closest to winning it when Josh Harrop, who was a substitute for the Under-21s in midweek, fired over the bar.
United: J.Pereira; Evans, McConnell, Ioannou, Barber; Riley (Croskery 77), Goss, Willock, Harrop, Thompson; Fletcher. Subs: Henderson, Borthwick-Jackson, Rashford, Tuanzebe.
