A talented midfielder who often operates in wide positions but is effective when drifting infield to create opportunities for his team-mates.
The Manchester-born prospect scored his first Under-18 goal against Aston Villa in 2013 and later captained the team that travelled to Slovakia for a couple of friendlies.
There has been patience with his development but he has an athletic build and is a cultured midfield player who, at over 6ft tall, is an imposing figure. A smooth operator who is capable of covering the ground really well, he unfortunately missed the successful 2013 Milk Cup campaign after being included in the squad for the previous year.
Redmond ended last campaign with a league tally of four goals in 18 starts, with a further four outings off the bench, and he also made one start in the FA Youth Cup. There was a sign of the influence he is able to exert in matches in the convincing 5-1 mauling of Middlesbrough in February, 2014.
