Accrued useful experience when included in the squad for the 2012 Milk Cup in Northern Ireland despite still being an Under-16 player.
A talented forward, he scored at the 2011 Premier Cup, which was played at Carrington, and is another of the Manchester-born youth products in the squad.
There has been patience with his development but he has an athletic build and is a cultured midfield player who, at over 6ft tall, is an imposing figure. A smooth operator who is capable of covering the ground really well, he unfortunately missed the successful 2013 Milk Cup campaign.
When regaining fitness, he was in and around the Under-18 side and scored his first goal at that level during the defeat to Aston Villa. Redmond later captained the team that travelled to Slovakia for a couple of friendlies.
