Neville hails Sir Alex

biggest example in life and I would go along with that, but he was a father figure for all of us who came through the ranks and he helped form huge parts of our characters. We all listened to him, soaked up every little piece of information he passed onto us, believed in him and trusted in him. He's been such an influential person in every player's life who has played under him.

"As a fan I'm gutted [to see him go]. You can't put into words what the boss has done for this club, that's why I'm gutted and sad. As a player who played under him I feel incredibly privileged and so blessed to have played in a period which has been Manchester United's most successful and played under the greatest ever manager."
