David Moyes was satisfied with Manchester United’s final Tour 2013 run-out but bemoaned the Reds’ wastefulness in front of goal following the 1-1 draw against AIK Fotboll in Stockholm.
United needed to come from behind to salvage the result after Robin Quaison gave the home side the lead on 49 minutes courtesy of a stunning strike from 20 yards.
Young Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez, on as a first-half substitute for the injured Nani, netted the leveller on 68 minutes but the Reds then missed a handful of chances to win the game and end Tour 2013 on a high.
“It was a tough game for us,” David Moyes told MUTV. “They played a bit better in the first half although I was a bit disappointed that we gave them a few opportunities.
“But in the first 15 minutes we must have got to the byline three or four times and I was hoping that one of our crosses was going to find one of our players. It didn’t do so.
“We got back into it in the second half after going a goal behind. We limited their opportunities in the second half and we had a few of our own. I think we should have won the game in the second half.”
“It was a tough enough workout for us and they played some good stuff. If we had taken our chances then we would have won the game."
