The Manchester United players returned to their temporary Sydney home at the Kogarah Oval for another closed training session on Thursday afternoon.
In sunny, still conditions at the rugby league ground, the 20-strong squad were put through their pre-season paces by David Moyes and his new coaching team.
Just before the session, Moyes helped unveil a plaque outside the ground, home of St. George Illawarra Dragons, to commemorate the Reds’ stay there.
And rugby league fan Ryan Giggs swapped shirts with the Dragons’ Trent Merrin after watching him in the State of Origin decider the previous night.
Earlier in the day, Moyes and Rio Ferdinand took part in a Q&A session with 500 people at a lunch hosted by Destination New South Wales and the NSW government, and Rio signed copies of his autobiography.
