Manchester United kicked off Tour 2013 presented by Aon with defeat to the Singha All Star XI, but manager David Moyes will have been buoyed by the excellent displays from youngsters Adnan Januzaj and Wilfried Zaha.

The humid conditions at the Rajamangala Stadium made for a low-key start although the hosts' captain Teeratep Winothai went close to putting the hosts ahead early on after being put clean through. A last-ditch tackle from Jonny Evans saved the day.

Januzaj, making his first-team bow, shone throughout and he had the Reds' best chance of the first period, but blasted over from close-range at the near post. Ben Amos' sublime save from the lively Winothai kept the scores level at half-time but he was unable to keep out Winothai's scuffed five minutes after the restart which put the Thai team ahead.

The Reds rallied thereafter with Welbeck, Fabio and Januzaj all having efforts saved. Welbeck dragged a late shot wide, before substitute Zaha, who impressed after coming on, smacked the left-hand post with a lovely curling effort.

That was the last significant piecee action as the Singha All Star XI held out for a famous victory and lifted the Singha 80th Anniversary Cup. Click on the image above to view a gallery of pics from the match.
