Today in Osaka

Lindegaard. Meanwhile, Wilfried Zaha (on for Kagawa) is still looking for his first Tour goal. He just jinked through half of the Osaka defence before screwing his shot wide of the far post. (NC)

20:10 Osaka 1 United 1. Shinji Kagawa makes it 1-1 on 54 minutes, much to the delight of the majority of the capacity crowd. Not before he missed a penalty 60 seconds earlier, mind you. Kagawa stepped up to the spot after Ashley Young had been brought down but blasted his shot straight at Kim Jinhyeon. He atoned for the miss almost immediately, receiving the ball with his back to goal before spinning and firing through the goalkeeper's legs. (NC)

19:46 HT: Osaka 1 United 0 It's been another hot and humid 45 minutes for the Reds, but credit to Cerezo Osaka, who fully deserve their lead. United have looked good in patches, but there's no doubt the heat is taking its toll. (NC)

19:40 Osaka 1 United 0 Oh, Shinji! The former Cerezo man must still harbour feelings for the club because he's just blazed over the bar from barely six yards out. It came after Danny Welbeck had shown some delightful skill and blasted a shot against the post from outside the box. The rebound fell to van Persie, who cut the ball back to Kagawa, on his own in the middle. The Reds really should be level. (NC)
