The J.League runs from March to October. The club finished last season in 14th and currently lie in sixth place this term (correct at 27 July).

Did you know?
There are 100 "Shinji seats" at all Cerezo Osaka home games (at both the Osaka Nagai Stadium and Kincho Stadium). Shinji has invited children to sit in the seats since 2011, saying: "I hope that as many children as possible will experience the fun of football."
