ENJOYING

THE MANCHESTER UNITED EXPERIENCE

The Museum & Tour Education Programme has received some positive feedback in recent months. Here are a few examples of the comments we’ve received:

“My class really loved their visit to Old Trafford. The balance between learning and fun was just right and ensured that all of the children gained something from the day. The workshops based around events and ideas connected to Manchester United provided an excellent stimulus for writing back at school, particularly for the boys, and resulted in a high standard of work, supported by the excellent lesson plans provided for teachers. I would definitely recommend this trip - even if you don’t support Manchester United!”
Wendy Budsworth, Year 6 Teacher, Summerville Primary School, Salford.

“I found the opportunity to visit Old Trafford educational, stimulating and inspirational to the students. The day was very well organised, incorporating a balance between tours around the stadium and museum, educational workshops and an opportunity to try on memorabilia from some of the world’s most famous footballers. All the students thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Theatre of Dreams and this was reflected through some excellent classroom work using the follow-up lesson plans. The whole experience was a positive and motivational one which I would recommend to others.”
Robert Fox, Year 5 Teacher, Summerville Primary School, Salford.

“It was interesting learning about Old Trafford during World War Two. That was fantastic. My favourite part was trying on the players’ shirts. It was our first trip this year and I think it will remain the best.”
Mihkel, Year 6, Summerville Primary School, Salford.

“I enjoyed trying on players’ shirts and sitting in the manager’s chair. I learned about the Munich Air Disaster, which was very interesting. My favourite part of the day was trying to find the answers in the Museum trail. I would really like to come here again because it was interesting and fun. I wouldn’t change anything about the day. It was brill!”
Katie, Year 6, St. Peter’s C.E. Primary, Swinton.
