Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has praised the recent performances from Jadon Sancho during his loan spell with Borussia Dortmund.

The 24-year-old rejoined the Bundesliga giants on a temporary basis in January and has since featured heavily in their run to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, starring in their 1-0 first-leg win against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.

With five goal contributions to Sancho's name in total, Erik was quizzed on Jadon's recent form as he previewed our Premier League game with Crystal Palace.

Having also discussed a new working relationship he is beginning to develop with technical director Jason Wilcox, scroll down to find out the latest news from the boss ahead of Monday's clash with the Eagles...

Press conference part one | Ten Hag is asked about returning players + Jadon Sancho and Jason Wilcox…

SANCHO'S FORM

"Let's say this, yesterday, he played very good and I have already talked a lot about this, he is a very good player. Yesterday, he showed why Manchester United bought him and he showed that he is represents a high value for Manchester United, which is good. I am happy for Jadon and I am happy with his performance from yesterday. We will see what is going to happen in the future."

CLOSE-SEASON PLANS

"There is always a lot of work [to be done in the summer] and it sounds a little bit [mad], but that is normal. It is normal when you go into a transfer window. The injuries have had a big impact and we know that we are also below the levels from our expectations that Manchester United have, so we have to catch up. I am now going into my fifth window - two windows, which were okay, and two windows, we missed, so we have to make new improvements this summer. We also have a good base in this squad but the injuries have [had] a big impact on our season."
RELATIONSHIP WITH WILCOX

"I didn't say I had the chance [to meet him]. We talk every day from now and from last week. In a very short period, we have to build a very intense relationship and we are working on it now to [devise] a plan. We already had a plan before he came but, of course, we have to be aligned with it and that takes time. At the same time, we do not have that much time."

TRANSFER IDEAS

"Definitely, it [European qualification] will have an impact on the budget but I am sure Manchester United is a very attractive team and a club to play for. Many players will be very pleased and very happy to play for Manchester United, I am sure."

TALK OF PLAYERS BEING UP FOR SALE

"It is a joke. For as long as I have worked here, every summer, every window, 200 players are getting an interest from Manchester United! Also, every summer, we sell all the players in our squad and so you are making all the headlines which are untrue. I think keep calm and also take some responsibility when you make such a headline. Find a good source if there is something in it."
